Club Zutphen
Help for the disabled child dominated our fundraising activities in 2007.
In 2005, we supported the Pasman horse back riding school which required aid for
purchasing material.
In 2007, our help was again more than needed.
The Pasman
riding school at Eefde, a foundation that has been established in 1980, makes horse
back riding possible for disabled children and adults. The floor covering of this riding
school needed replacement, which is a very expensive expense. Out club therefore
decided to fundraise during the Zutphen summer markets in July and the Chocolate
feast in September.
During these events, we sold chocolate bars, each symbolizing a
shelf of the floor of the riding school.
Each chocolate bar contained a lottery ticket for
prices that were made available by entrepreneurs from Zutphen e.o. Two companies
also sponsored the chocolate bars. Joy all over because at the end of the event we
were all sold out!!!! Hence, this fundraising was an enormous success.
At this
moment, we are busy winding up and hope to be able to soon hand over the cheque
to the Pasman riding school.
