Quota grows on …
Quota Branch of Rotterdam – This new branch of Quota Club Rotterdam, launched in January 2007, has grown within a year from six to eighteen members. All full enthusiasm, the members are very dedicated young female professionals who are committed to serving their communities, either locally in Rotterdam , nationally in the Netherlands or internationally.
The new group is developing new friendships and meets once a month to discuss the developments of her projects. To serve their community, her members can use the diversity of their occupations and backgrounds including: Medicine, Law, Finance, PR & Marketing, Communication, Public Office, Graphic Design, etc.
Although the branch formally launched in 2007, its members have been working together on a project which started in February 2006. In this project they decided to use their own capabilities and know-how to run it, rather than only looking for sponsors to make a project possible.
First Project: In their first project Quota Branch of Rotterdam chose to help an institute, called Horizon, that offers special education and treatment to children from 4 to 18 years old. The children at Horizon schools have generally serious learning and/or behavioral problems. The Quota branch of Rotterdam successfully originated the realization of a Zoneparc school playground for the children of the Mr. Schats school in May 2007. Amongst others she raised Euro 1,600 through a sale of donated designer handbags.
